At Berean Church of God in Christ, we are committed to Motivating Teens to Victory, where the motto is, "We challenge the odds while changing lives." We, as people of faith, find our lives further enriched by providing for the betterment of others. You will find a complete description of the program by following this link but a shortened version is presented here for your inspection.
Part of our goal at Motivating Teens to Victory is to provide a tutorial and mentoring program for underprivileged youth and their families. As an adjunct to that program, we have other services including a food shelf, job placement, financial counseling, and psychological counseling and services.
MTV is funded in part by proceeds from our sale of Mrs. Battles Gourmet Sweet Potato Pies, and in part by generous donations from some wonderful citizens in the community. We cannot possibly adequately thank those fine people who buy our pies, nor those that give so generously of themselves, for the program's success. It is not often that a human appetite can be turned to a force for good.
Because of the nature of ministry, we've obscured the faces of most of the people in the pictures to protect their privacy, and to safeguard the children against those who may wish to do harm.
